TriZetto Provider POS Direct is a new family of web applications that bring real-time information and transaction processing to providers at point-of-service. The first available application in this new product family is Real-Time Liability and Claims, a comprehensive, packaged software application that accurately calculates patient financial liability at the point of service. The application also can adjudicate claims at the point of service. These capabilities enable providers to collect full payment when-or even before-services are rendered, rather than days or weeks later.

The application utilizes a service-oriented architecture (SOA) to give providers online access to the payer's Facets™ core administration system and, where feasible, to legacy systems. At the time of scheduling, check-in or check-out, the provider's staff can use the application to submit transactions in real time via standard Web browser or EDI.
